Figured out the problem. The reason this happens is because something on your maid is missing and the plugin cannot find it (a clothing or accessory mod file).

For me, I downloaded a preset that used mods I didn't have, put the bottoms from said preset on one of my maids and tried to export it and the.pmx didn't show. I went through a trial and error process and removed each piece of clothing from my maid until I figured out that the skirt was the cause. Your maid may have clothing that the plugin can't find the file for (like me) and you'll likely have to find said clothing and (re)download it and export again.
