For anyone trying to figure out how to play Black and White 2 on Windows 10 - you need to crack it. Not entirely legal way, I know, but if you own a copy of the game, cracking it is hardly illegal, right? I probably shouldn't post any of that shady cracking and torrenting stuff, but hey, it's not my fault this amazing game was completely abandoned and this is literally the only way to play it at the moment, unless, I don't know, you have an old Windows XP machine lying around. Anyway, let's hope someone will eventually care enough to re-release the game digitally, working on modern PCs. Ok, let's start. Obviously, you need to install the game and then preferably patch it with 1.1 and 1.2 patches (though suprisingly, it's not necessary - good news for folks with 1.0 save files).

Now, here's where the problems start: the game uses SecuROM DRM. But its driver was removed in Windows 7, 8 and 10. It can be re-enabled in 7 and 8 (google it if you need it), but as far as I know you can't do it in 10. This means that even if you have a legal copy of the game, and have the disk inside just like it should be, the game won't run. So, sadly, the only way to 'fix' it, is cracking the game.

BUT, not just any crack will do - most of the avaialble ones will introduce various bugs and glitches, like never-ageing villagers. We don't want that. So what you have to do, is google a torrent called 'Black & White 2 (FIXED AGING) Crack'. I downloaded mine from TPB, I'm using it and it works perfectly, it's not detected as a virus/malware, so it should be safe. Hopefully it'll work for you just as well. Just be careful when downloading it from somewhere else. In fact, be careful no matter where you're downloading it from.

The game is awesome, but it might not be worth it, if you're going to download all them viruses if you don't know what you're doing.
